Make the pool easier on your hair routine.

Swimming can belong in an active routine without treating textured hair as an afterthought. Preparation and a prompt, gentle post-pool routine can reduce friction and buildup.

01

Prepare before entering

A well-fitted swim cap, a pre-swim rinse where available, and a secure low-tension style may help. Choose products and techniques that work for your texture, style, and pool conditions.

02

Rinse and dry deliberately

Rinse pool water promptly, cleanse as needed for your routine, condition or moisturize appropriately, and dry the scalp rather than leaving roots damp for long periods.

03

Adjust when the hair or scalp objects

Reduce tension and manipulation when you notice breakage or tenderness. Persistent irritation, scaling, hair loss, or scalp symptoms warrant advice from a dermatologist or qualified hair professional.
